If you’re like me, every time Samsung releases a new Ultra phone, you wonder. Is this one really worth upgrading to?
Well, after using the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra series for the past month, here’s my honest Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Review take the good, the bad, and whether I think you should grab one too…
First Impressions: Sleek, Solid, Serious
Right out of the box, the S25 Ultra feels like a luxury item. The matte finish is elegant and resistant to fingerprints (finally!). It’s slightly slimmer than the S24 Ultra, making it more comfortable to hold, though it’s still a beast in size.
I picked the Titanium Black, and trust me, it turns heads.
Display: You’ll Stare at It More Than You’d Like
Samsung continues to dominate in the display game. The 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen is pure eye-candy. Everything looks sharp, smooth, and vibrant. Whether you’re scrolling through Instagram. Or watching Netflix.
Adaptive refresh rate (120Hz – 480Hz PWM) is super noticeable. Scrolling feels buttery smooth, and it saves battery when you’re reading static content.
Camera: Almost a Professional Tool
I’ll be blunt the camera is why I upgraded.
- 200MP main Camera: The detail Image is next-level. Zoom into a street sign in the distance, and it’s readable.
- Night photography: Samsung promised better low-light performance, and they delivered. Night cityscapes and restaurant shots look sharp and natural.
- 10x optical zoom: Still the best in the business. Great for concerts, wildlife, or spying on your neighbor’s garden (kidding!).
- Downside: Samsung still likes to oversaturate colors a bit, especially greens and reds. If you want ultra-natural photos, some editing may be needed.
Performance 10/10: Fast & Fluid
With the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 16GB of RAM, this phone flies.
Apps load instantly, multitasking is seamless, and gaming (even Genshin Impact!) is lag-free. It gets warm under heavy gaming but not uncomfortably so.
Storage tip: I got the 512GB version, worth it if you shoot a lot of 4K/8K videos.
Battery Life: All-Day Champ
Battery life is impressive:
- 5000mAh battery easily gives me 6–7 hours of screen-on time.
- I end the day with ~25–30% left after moderate-heavy use.
- 45W fast charging works well, but the charger isn’t in the box (annoying in a BDT 5,000+ phone).
Software: One UI 7 is Polished
Samsung’s One UI 7 is smooth and packed with useful features:
- Samsung DeX, and Samsung Wireless DeX are amazing if you want a desktop-like experience.
- AI features like photo remastering and live translations are cool, though some feel gimmicky.
- Samsung promises 7 years of software updates now, a huge plus for long-term use.
What I Liked:
✅ Stunning display
✅ Best zoom camera on any phone
✅ Excellent battery life
✅ Top-tier performance
✅ Premium build
What Could Be Better:
❌ No charger in the box
❌ Camera can oversaturate colors
❌ Pricey (starting at BDT 2,00,000)
Should You Buy It?
If you’re upgrading from anything older than the S22 Ultra — YES. You’ll feel the difference immediately, especially in the display and camera department.
If you have an S24 Ultra, the upgrade isn’t essential unless you’re a camera enthusiast or want the latest Snapdragon chip.
The S25 Ultra is a phone that’s hard not to love. It’s powerful, beautiful, and packed with features. Is it perfect? No. Is it the best Android phone I’ve ever used? Absolutely. For those who want a no-compromise flagship, the S25 Ultra delivers in style.
